Key Responsibilities:

- Search for smartphones/feature phone/smart devices as per requirement from Device team and communication with Original Device Manufacturers (ODMs). 

- Review of product design and vendor assessment

- Managing vendor ecosystem for product development - vendors, outsourcing partners (Original Device Manufacturer)
- Setup of lab along with necessary equipment for device testing (RF test, scratch test, drop test, speaker test, button test, high temperature and humidity test, drop test, battery capacity test etc)
- Working as a bridge between Original Device Manufacturer and the company

- Makes decisions for own team. Influences org / department / business level decisions

Skills Requirement:

- 5+ years of experience of QA&CM in device sourcing. 

- Extensive knowledge in mechanical, electronic component and the related material quality control 
from NPI to after sales, such as pressing/metal/stamping & plastic part, die-casting, PCB, PCBA RF 
antenna etc.

- Should have good knowledge of various OS and firmware.

- Understanding of ISO9001/TS16949/ QS9000/ ISO14000 / OHSAS 18001 quality system, and core tools as MSA, APQP, PPAP, FMEA and SPC, PDCA, 8D, QC 7 Tools, GR&R, DOE, TQM, Reliability, Lean manufacturing and Six-Sigma philosophy.


- Knowledge on Telephony technology and protocols is desirable.

- Knowledge or familiarity of Mozilla Fire OS or KAI OS is desirable

- Should have knowledge of setting up and troubleshooting networking and related issues.


Qualification:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in similar job role
- Experience in working directly with ODMs for designing smartphones/featurephones 
- Masters / Bachelor in any discipline of Engineering
